XenApp, XenDesktop customers – Client Drive Mapping Does Not Support Files Larger than 4GB

This issue applies to XenDesktop 4.x, 5.x and XenApp 5.x, 6.x

Symptoms

In XenApp and XenDesktop, very large files which have a file size greater than 4GB are not supported with Client Drive Mapping.

Example:
When viewing a file which is greater than 4GB using a published Windows Explorer instance in a XenApp Client Mapped Drive, its file size will be incorrectly displayed.

Additionally, copying a file which has a size greater than 4GB using a CDM mapped drive, only a partial file copy will be done, resulting in an incomplete target file being written.

Cause

Very large file sizes are not supported with Client Drive Mapping in both XenApp and XenDesktop.
