HDX 3D Pro on any device
This is my first video of many of Citrix XenDesktop HDX 3D Pro “USER EXPERIENCE” video series.
About HDX 3D Pro on any device
In this video Thomas Poppelgaard shows how the User Experience with Dassault CATIA & Citrix XenDesktop 5.5 HDX 3D Pro is on any device, Dell Wyse Xenith, Dell Wyse Z90D7, Apple Macbook Air, Apple iPad 3 and Apple iPhone 4S
The Citrix XenDesktop 5.5 is virtualized with Citrix XenServer 6.x and 1 Nvidia Quadro 4000 card is GPU pass-through to the XenDesktop 5.5 so HDX 3D Pro is enabled. The user gets their own Virtual desktop (VDI) and the user can run smooth all kind of 2D/3D applications either if they are using OpenGL or DirectX/3D/Draw. HDX 3D Pro have a deep compression codec that makes it possible to work on any device with even high latency (250MS) and if the user is on a 1.5Mbit connection. HDX 3D Pro delivers a local experience with high frames and low bandwidth consumption cause all the graphics is beeing rendered at the server site (GPU, CPU, RAM, iOpS, Network bandwidth to the local ressources such as SAN+more)
HDX 3D Pro is one of my favorite technologies and the video you can see on youtube is a video i did in May 2012 with the current version of Citrix XenDesktop 5.5 HDX 3D Pro, in the latest version Citrix XenDesktop 5.6 Feature Pack 1 the frames have increased 50% and bandwidth have been reduced to approximate half.

Always the first thing any Apple users want to do: Run Windows on his device and do some actual work.
Great the experience is now almost as smooth as actually using a Windows device. Impressive work by Citrix
