Citrix have released a new version of ShareFile Sync 2.5 for Windows.

ShareFile Sync for Windows is designed to provide ShareFile Enterprise customers with an easy way to access and synchronize folders from your ShareFile account to your local computer or virtual desktop.

For Windows 8, Windows 7, XP and Vista

New Features include:

  • Support for selective enablement of Sync allows customers to limit access to Sync to specific users, typically those with managed or corporate devices.
  • Sync is now updated to match the user experience of the web application tabs for accessing data.
  • Support for XenDesktop 7

Use the .exe installer to automatically detect the OS platform and the .msi installer if you want to automate the installation process.

Citrix have released a new version of Citrix ShareFile Sync 2.2 for Windows

ShareFile Sync for Windows is designed to provide ShareFile Enterprise customers with an easy way to access and synchronize folders from your ShareFile account to your local computer or virtual desktop.

This release works on Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, XP and Vista.

New Features in Citrix ShareFile Sync 2.2 for Windows:

  • On-Demand Sync – Improved performance and stability with SyncEngine / SyncService optimizations and several bug fixes.
  • Proxy Configuration – An updated UI is available, which allows the user to specify credentials required for proxy authentication. The UI also allows for automatic proxy configuration using a configuration script, and automatic proxy configuration using DNS and DHCP.

Citrix have released a new version of ShareFile Sync 1.5 for Mac OSX

What is Citrix ShareFile Sync for Mac OSX

ShareFile Sync for Mac is designed to provide ShareFile Enterprise customers with an easy way to access and synchronize personal folders from your ShareFile account to your local computer.

For MAC OS X 10.7 and 10.8

New Features include:

  • Auto-Update
  • Improved Context Menu
  • Performance and Quality Improvements
  • Enhanced Proxy Improvements

Auto-update feature

Starting in this version, Mac Sync will update itself when a new version is detected in sharefile.com. This is a transparent process where a user will only be prompted for an administrator’s password when  certain files that require system changes are updated.

Auto-update FAQ’s

1) How often does it check for an update? Every day.

2) How do I disable this from my machine? This can only be as an account wide change done by an administrator.

3) How can an administrator disable this as a system wide setting for everyone in my company? 

Please contact the support team to disable this feature.

4) How do I manually trigger an update? Simply close ShareFile and open it again.

Enhanced Proxy Support

Mac Sync now supports additional proxy settings such as scripts and authentication requests.

Enhanced Proxy Support

Known issues:

When upgrading while 2 different sessions are running, and error is displayed in the sessions that is not up front.

Changing a password online doesn’t prompt the user for a new password.

SAML authentication is currently not supported for OSX versions 10.6.8 or earlier.

Non-admin installations are currently not supported.

The launch website option from the ShareFile Sync notification area icon does not function when using certain complex passwords.

Installing Citrix Receiver with the FMD plugin in combination with this release is not supported.

Citrix have released a new version of Citrix ShareFile User Management Tool 1.2

What is Citrix ShareFile User Management Tool

The ShareFile User Management Tool enables IT departments to provision and deprovision employee users and distribution groups in ShareFile based on Active Directory. This allows IT to leverage existing AD workflows for creating and updating users and groups and have them automatically kept in sync with ShareFile.

For Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008

New features include in v 1.2:

  • Additional User Create Options:  CanManageUsers and CanSeeMySettings
  • Better Dashboard Experience
  • UI Improvements
  • Ability to Add Corresponding Users Rule when Adding Group Rule.
  • Bug Fixes

Note that on XenServer 7.1, installing VDA 7.13 also works to enable vGPUs running XenDesktop 7.11 even using the newer “NvFBCEnable.exe -enable -noreset” command. Tested with an M60 using various profiles.

Hello, how to allow SR-IOV for the Intel P580 in a m710x? (unable to find any settings in BIOS)

I get the following error: Dismount-VmHostAssignableDevice : The operation failed.
The device cannot be assigned to a virtual machine as the firmware (BIOS or UEFI) on this host computer system indicates that the device must remain in
contact with the firmware running in the host. The device can only be used in the management operating system. You should contact your OEM to determ
ine if a firmware upgrade is available, or if the PCI Express device can be reconfigured to be independent of the host firmware.
